I have created this Learn Unit so we can learn how to use Blackboard Collaborate.

Blackboard Collaborate is the program TAFE SA use in order to communicate with students who are not in face-to-face classes.

We will start slow and we will learn together.

The aim of this assessment task is to demonstrate knowledge developed of the
marketing communications industry and report on the current issues affecting the
marketing communications industry in the form of a Research Portfolio.

Then applying this knowledge in the form of a Marketing Report for a not-for-profit
organisation. This includes:
• Showing evidence of the impact of new and alternative communication
  technology has affected marketing plans for the current climate.
• Update knowledge through market research
• Identify future trends within the marketing communications industry.

Welcome to the TAFE SA Business Services program.

This subject familiarises students with a broad range of principles needed to solve engineering problems. The concepts of static equilibrium, as described by Newton's laws of motion are utilised to solve 2D force systems with the aid of free body diagrams and the knowledge of systems of forces and moments. Other topics include structures in equilibrium, centroids and centres of mass of objects. Forces, loads and failure modes of beams & columns are investigated along with basic properties of materials to equip the student with the skills to perform basic analysis of systems in static equilibrium.

This unit of competency defines the skills and knowledge required to prepare the materials and carry out routine gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and applies in a maintenance or manufacturing environment where the weld quality is not required to meet an Australian Standard.
Where welding is required to meet AS 1554 General Purpose or equivalent codes, work health and safety (WHS) regulations and/or licensing requirements Unit MEM05019 Weld using gas tungsten arc welding process should also be selected.
Where the interpretation of technical drawings is required unit MEM09002 Interpret technical drawing should also be selected.
Where the selection and use of engineering measurement is required unit MEM12023 Perform engineering measurements should also be selected.
Where the selection and use of tools is required unit MEM18001 Use hand tools and unit MEM18002 Use power tools/hand held operations, should also be selected as appropriate.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to apply workplace policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for self and others. This includes identifying work health and safety (WHS) hazards, assessing risk and following safety procedures in the workplace with minimal supervision.
