At the end of this course, individuals would be expected to be able to identify when to use, and use, tools and equipment effectively and safely in their work in the painting and decorating industry.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to accurately match paint colours for a range of surfaces and finishes. It includes understanding colour theory, using colour-matching tools, assessing environmental conditions, preparing samples, adjusting mixes, and producing a final colour that meets job specifications and client expectations.

This course is a home page to be used to assist in onboarding students undertaking an apprenticeship in painting and decorating, and studying the certificate III in painting and decorating.
