It also focuses on developing and applying basic workshop skills and developing knowledge about equipment and processes and relating it to typical technical work requirements.

This unit covers performing work ethically and competently, making judgements about work priorities and information requirements to achieve effective working relationships and engineering outcomes.

This unit covers applying in situ design skills by personnel who are then responsible for the manufacture of the design outcome either individually or as part of a team.

Students will prepare structural steel design and detail drawings to standards AS4100 and AS1100.
