Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process which can allow you to gain credit for skills and experience you already have.
Not everyone who enters a TAFESA course is an absolute beginner. If you already have some skills in a particular area, you can ask for an RPL assessment of those skills as they apply to a particular competency.
