The "Meaningful Life" course was developed as a result of an Audit of ACH Group services who provide "Transition Care Program" to clients. It was identified by Service Providers that Care Workers who are involved with caring for transition clients required specific competencies to support older people to participate in restorative activities that will enhance or maintain functional status. Service Providers indicated that work performed with transition clients required a range of well-developed skills, where some discretion and judgement was required and Care Workers needed to enhance skills related to their roles and responsibilities.
