This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine and manage project scope. It involves analysing the stakeholders , obtaining project authorisation, developing a scope management plan, and managing the application of project scope controls.

It applies to individuals responsible for managing and leading a project in an organisation, business or as a consultant.

This is the framework of the project - outlining the parameters of the project (what is included and excluded) Initial discussions with your sponsor and relevant stakeholders will take place to determine the aim and objectives - leading to the stakeholder identification and analysis and a detailed Scope Management Plan
